Pray for ongoing Translation Projects

Here are some suggestions of how to pray for translation projects in progress.

Pray for the translators, that they will...

• be welcomed
• not be harmed
• not be distracted from doing God's will
• have wisdom in how to relate to the people and show God's love
• set a good example by their attitudes
• have adequate housing
• be diligent in learning the language and meeting the people
• prioritise fellowship with the Lord each day
• demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in their relationships
• be lead by God to his choice of people for translation work

Pray for the people, that they will...

• be patient and helpful in teaching and helping the translators
• not have false ideas or unreal expectations of the translators
• take pride in their language and help the translators learn it
• be seekers after truth and the true God, open to the gospel
• be preparing their future pastors, evangelists, and teachers
• be protected from outsiders who would exploit them
• not foment resentment, shame or hatred among or against them
• esteem education and promote it among their people
• seek God's help and wisdom in opposing evil within and without
• will model the good and beautiful aspects of their culture in their churches
• have adequate food, healthy bodies, and be spiritually strong
• become "people of the Book", true followers of Christ
