A cow ate my book
Cows—important in Kenya's pastoralist groups—will play a part in bringing God's Word to them. Legend says that long ago the Samburu people had God's book, but a cow ate it. After 15 years of discussion with BTL,* Samburu church leaders agreed it's time to begin Bible translation. Believing the only way to get God's Word back is through a cow, each church
donated a cow to support the project. Translation of Ilchamus, a neighboring language, has also begun, sharing resources with the Samburu in a cluster** project. Pray translators will work well together in producing quality translations.
