Worldwide Scripture-Use Conference
"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers" (Psalm 1:1-3).
"Promoting the Use of Scripture in Appropriate Languages, Media and Scripture Products" is the theme for the Worldwide Scripture-Use Conference taking place in the UK March 27-31, 2006.
Twenty-five organizations from the Wycliffe family of organizations and the International Forum of Bible Agencies will be represented. Would you pray for this important event?
- Pray that the 115 participants will arrive safely, especially those with potential visa concerns.
- Pray that the conference will result in new direction and impetus for efforts to increase the use of Scripture around the world and in the various organizations.
- Pray that all of the logistical arrangements will run smoothly so that participants will not be distracted from the conference activities. This is a maximum size group
for the location. - Pray that God would unify the participants and their organizations through love and respect for one another as they celebrate the diverse gifts and approaches they bring to the field of Scripture use.
