Sharing vision and capacity: Our desire is that local communities will realise the long-term benefit of Bible translation and be able to take the responsibility. May God give them the vision and strengths needed. We share what we have learned, and encourage life-long learning. We want to find opportunities for others to develop their leadership potential.

High standards: We aim to do all our work as well as possible, since we are dealing with the word of truth (2 Tim 2:2). In our concern for quality, we continually evaluate our goals, processes and results. We owe it to each language group to deliver God’s word (Rom 1:14) as clearly as possible, since language is one of God's most important gifts, and the most distinctly human.

The language of the heart: God values people, whatever their language. No language is superior to another; God can speak through them all. A person’s language is part of his identity and gives him dignity. Pray that Wycliffe members will have a genuine respect for their host community, and that this will open doors to introduce people to the Scriptures and to Christ.

God’s transforming word: through which we have real life (1 Pe 1:23). May God empower us to communicate his word across cultural, social, political, economic, racial linguistic and educational boundaries. May the persuasive Holy Spirit dispel resistance, suspicion and misunderstanding, and bring light, mercy and grace.
