- Travlang's Translating Dictionaries - covering more and more languages, and always free! English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Afrikaans, Esperanto. Now over 70 languages.

- Alta Vista has a translation engine online for some Western European languages. It can translate web pages live for you. Be careful; it is machine translation!
- FreeTranslation.com - offers fast, world-class quality instant translation. Check out Transparent Language's complex of Web sites (FreeTranslation.com, PlusTranslation.com and Transparent.com). This site seems to do a better job of translation than AltaVista, but be careful; it is still machine translation! They have some interesting comments on this subject.
