Who we are
We met when we attended the Discovery Course as part of Wycliffe’s membership application process. We both joined Wycliffe soon after and have been married for 10 years.
Where we are
We live and work in Edinburgh.
What we do
David works remotely as a software tester and in user-support. Resolving a problem by email means that a translator can continue their work immediately. Sometimes it means they can avoid the cost and delays associated with travelling to find help, or waiting for other help to arrive.
Evelyn was raised bilingually in French and English, and was keen to use that to help work in French-speaking countries. Some of the expertise of Bible translation is still only available in English so she translates documents and training materials to French so our colleagues in francophone countries can be better equipped to work in literacy and Bible translation.
We hope that, through the skills God has given us, we’ll see many people come to know God through his word in their own language.
