Wycliffe Bible Translators is looking for a Recruiter to join the People Department in our High Wycombe office. This page contains all the information you need to apply for this role.

1.5 billion people are still waiting

For over 60 years, we’ve been pioneering and innovating, working alongside communities big and small, creating partnerships, and training local people to translate the Bible.

Today Wycliffe Bible Translators is engaged with 326 minority language groups around the world that make up 469 million people, but globally 1.5 billion people are still waiting for the complete Bible in a language they understand well. As part of Wycliffe’s response to this need, we’re growing our People Team.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

(Isaiah 6:8, New International Version)

As a recruiter, you’ll play a key role in bringing people into Wycliffe who are passionate about the ministry of Bible translation. Some will be interested in membership – looking to go overseas to work in language development and support roles. Some will be looking to volunteer in the UK – perhaps as a career break or as part of their retirement. Some will be looking at short-term opportunities overseas through the SkillServe programme or as part of a GradTeam. Finally, some individuals will hear about Wycliffe through a more traditional recruitment process.

You will get to know successful applicants quite well and have the joy of knowing that you played a part in their story, as they follow God’s calling and head in various directions to serve him both near and far.
