Experience God’s heart for Bible translation

Experience Wycliffe is for people aged 18–30 from across Europe looking to learn, grow and hear from God as they consider a role in Bible translation. We’ll study God’s desire for all people to know him and share some of the incredible ways God is accomplishing his plans through Bible translation.

What should I expect?

Experience 2022 will take place from 17–27 July 2022 at a fully equipped centre on the England/Wales border near Chepstow, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for activities or peace and quiet. In previous years we have held the camp at a castle in Switzerland and a mission centre in France.

Learning from the Book of Acts

On the camp we will begin each morning learning about the mission of God through the book of Acts. This time of fellowship will be followed by teaching sessions where we’ll open your eyes to the life-changing work of Bible translation. We’ll focus on different aspects of the work over the two weeks, to build a picture of what it takes to make God’s word truly accessible to everyone.

The afternoons will be free time with plenty of opportunity to explore the area, process what we’ve been learning together or relax in the sun with a good book! Then through the evening sessions you’ll hear personal stories and get to talk with a range of Wycliffe workers as they share how God has used them to bring God’s word to language communities around the world.

Part-retreat and part-holiday, there really is nothing quite like Experience and for many people it is a life-changing time. If you feel a prompting to take some time out to think through cross-cultural mission and God’s call on your life, we’d love to have you join us.

The in-person Experience camp will cost approximately £400 for full board and lodging; you will need to make your own way to the venue.
