Taste and See

Do you have a passion to see Jesus made known amongst the nations? Are you keen to explore where God might be calling you to serve in the future? Join us as we head out to Thailand this summer, to meet with the multinational team working to get God’s word into the hands and hearts of communities across the region. This is a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand what it could look like for you to be involved in the vital work of Bible translation.

Chiang Mai, Thailand

Chiang Mai is a thriving urban centre in the North of Thailand, where ancient Buddhist temples sit side by side with towering skyscrapers and superhighways. It also lies at the heart of a region with over 300 language communities in need of God’s word. This will be our base from which we will be visiting Payap University, one of our major linguistics training partners and meeting with missionaries serving in a variety of roles, hearing how their lives have been caught up into God’s story for this region.

Golden Triangle, Northern border

We’ll then head North to the Golden Triangle where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet, we'll visit our border training centre, where translation workers from across SE Asia are equipped and sent back out to bring minority language Scripture, literacy and Scripture engagement methods to their communities.

Our final weekend will be spent exploring Thailand’s capital city, soaking up the sights and sounds of life in its bustling metropolis. As we take in floating markets, and majestic palace architecture we’ll have time to reflect together on all that we’ve seen before heading back to life in the UK.
