One of the translators had previously checked the translation of the book of Matthew with local people to make sure it was easy to understand.

One of the people involved was an Imam (local Muslim leader).

The translator shares, ‘When the Gospel of John was ready for translation checking, the Lord directed me to return to the same Imam.

Closer to the end of the Gospel of John, he stopped me and said, ‘When you have finished translating the Bible, this town will come to know the truth and will be changed. In the end you will be proved right.’

The Flame* Bible translation project was started in 2004. Fourteen years on, the Flame New Testament is about to go to print and the people throughout the area will finally hear the word of God in their own language.

(*Name changed for security reasons).

By giving today, you will be contributing towards publishing and distributing the Flame New Testament and translating the Old Testament. You will be opening the door for Flame speakers like the Imam to hear the word of God in the language that speaks to them best.

What a joy it would be to see Muslims come to know Christ.

Would you consider giving an extra donation today to help more Flame people hear the word of God and be transformed by his love?
