Wycliffe Bible Translators in the UK collect information when you fill in a form on paper or on our websites. We also may receive information from agencies when you send us a donation through them. Sometimes we collect information from public available sources, such as church websites.
How will we use the information about you?
Wycliffe uses information differently according to how we are relating to you.
If you are a donor we use the information to send you letters acknowledging your gifts and our magazine so you can find out more about our work.
If you are interested in receiving mailings we use your information to send those out.
If you are thinking about working for us we collect your information so that we can assess whether there are suitable opportunities for you to work for Wycliffe or its partner organisations. If you are interested in working for one of those partner organisations we may pass on your information to them so they can assess your application. If we do that we delete our copy of the information after six months.
If you are part of one of our groups or programmes we send you information related to these including upcoming events.
If you are registering for an event we collect information relevant to that event and may record the fact that you attended the event as this will be useful if you get back in touch with us in the future.
When we supply information to another company who is performing a service for us, such as when printing and sending Words for Life, we agree beforehand that they will treat your information as confidential.
If you work for us, personnel information will be held by us for administrative purposes, and elements of the information will be shared as necessary with related overseas entities.

When you play MissioMaze in "slow mode" (where you have to wait hours before the next decision) we record which choice you made and how long the gap was since the previous choice. The data is collected anonymously, so we can't link it back to you. We do this so we can see if people are persevering to the end of the game or giving up.
We have created this statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. We do not collect personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. This policy is your guide as to how we will handle information we learn about you from your visit to our website.
