The vision of Wycliffe Bible Translators is that all peoples would discover the Bible for themselves in a language they fully understand.
It's been a remarkable journey since William Cameron Townsend first ventured out in 1917 to share the Scriptures with the Cachiquel Indians in Guatemala.
Since those early pioneering days the pace of Bible translation has accelerated beyond anything we might have asked or imagined. Wycliffe Bible Translators UK & Ireland is now part of an international family called Wycliffe Global Alliance of over 100 organisations from more than 60 nations working alongside many partner organisations, individuals from local communities and national organisations.
