A weekend to explore your next step into Bible translation

Is God calling you deeper into His mission, His work and His world? The Next Step is your opportunity to see how your skills and experience could play a vital role. Come along and work out whether now is the right time for you to take a big step for the sake of the 1.5 billion still waiting for the Bible in their language.

What should I expect?

The Next Step goes deeper into the translation process and explains the importance of each role, skillset and passion. Whether you are obsessed with linguistics and languages, fascinated by IT or have a passion for teaching, we show you how each and every person can play an essential role in Bible translation.

We’ll share our passion for the Bible by talking you through the theological foundations of translation, sharing our personal stories, and showing the impact translated Scripture has on individuals and communities.

If you’re thinking of coming on The Next Step we would encourage you to discuss this with your church leadership. We believe that mission should originate from within the local church so we’ll also invite your church leader to join you for part of the weekend.

When and Where

11-13th May - Mountsandel Christian Fellowship, Coleraine
18-20th May - St Andrews Church, Cheadle Hulme (Manchester)

If you’re interested in coming, register your interest.

The programme starts on Friday evening with a meal together and continues until Sunday afternoon. The event is free of charge, but you’ll need to find your own accommodation within easy distance of the venue. We’ll hear from the Bible, worship together, hear stories of Bible translation in action, and there’ll be plenty of opportunity to discuss any questions you might have with the Wycliffe team.
